Virtual Classroom: Delivering Primary Care to People Living with HIV

VirtualClassroomIcon-02-704x600Virtual classroom series are offered several times a year and  consist of four 2-hour sessions delivered over interactive webinars by expert members of the HIV clinical team.

Each session has a maximum of 6 participants and is targeted to:

  • Physicians
  • Medical residents
  • Nurse practitioners

Content discussed over the four sessions will include:

  • HIV Diagnosis & First Visit
  • HIV Treatment Start on Naïve Patients
  • Managing Treatment /Long Term HIV Care
  • Special Populations (HCV/TB/Pregnancy)

Sessions focus on participants’ knowledge development and preparation for integrating sound HIV assessment and treatment into their clinical practice. Participants enrolled will have increased access to the program’s supports and mentorship.

This Group Learning program has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Saskatchewan Chapter for up to 8 Mainpro+ credits

Winter 2019 Session: February 13 & 27 and March 5 & 12 (Session Full)

Spring 2019 Session: May 22 & 29 and June 5 & 12 (Limited Spaces Available)

Fall 2019 Session: September 17 & 24 and October 8 & 15 from 5:00PM-7:00PM
